Are you engaged in activities that are energy and time consuming? I was in a similar situation, until I understood how to Refocus!
Last year, I was on a farm in Texas and soon discovered it had a giant maze made of straw. So, I decided to explore it. It looked like an endless maze with no way out. For hours on end, I went around trying to figure my way out.
Do you see life as a maze where you are constantly confused about how to go through tough situations?
In many ways, life is the same! Remember, tough situations never last, tough people do!
The Bible says,
This is the way to go through overwhelming situations- Take your attention off your seeming mess and concentrate on your end goal.
You need to take the following steps to refocus your mind, along with every other aspect of your life:
- Stand before God with your issues. Bring the difficulties to him in prayer. Instead of worrying endlessly, allowing your mind to buzz recklessly with thoughts, take the situation to God. This is the first point of letting go of busyness, you need to master being purposeful in all you do.
- Focus your attention on Word. Then focus on the issues that face you per time prayerfully. Your mind will generate the right solution through God’s Word.
- Speak the Word with boldness. Do not confess the issues, God knows them already. Confess what you believe will happen based on the Word of God.
- Take some time out to organize yourself. Write down a plan of how you plan to tackle the mess in phases and stick to it! Create an environment that will enable you to follow through with your plans. For example, if you tend to oversleep, set multiple alarms in different locations in your room 30 minutes before the set time. Getting up to turn them off will wake you up eventually.
In line with this, I will be taking some time off to restructure Treasure Things. There are a lot of exciting projects in the works and I will need to refocus to ensure I’m delivering the best work. Look out for new posts and more content in the fall!
